Temple restaurant was majestic, the modern dining room is inside a 600-year-old-temple,from the location to the food, to the presentation, they sure know what luxury means, If your feeling fancy that’s the place to go, the food is exquisite, they pay attention to every little detail, since brunch is one of my favorite things in the world when it comes to food, who’s the genius who invented that right? Breakfast and lunch all together and cocktails, wine, plus champagne that’s the dream of any foodie, specially if brunch is shared with my best friend, my dear Mom, a 8 course brunch was surely an extreme food experience, make sure you are very hungry when you decide to experience it.
One of Beijing top 3 restaurants
I really loved the minimalist and classy decor
As soon as we sat on the table, they brought us champagne and a bread basket
All dishes were not just tasty but aesthetically pleasing
I advice you to make a reservation since this is one of the most popular restaurants in Beijing and even with a reservation we did wait some time in the waiting area, because the table wasn’t ready, something odd for such a classy luxurious place, they cant afford to make those kind of faults, but than we got to our table, the staff was adorable and very professional, always smiling and trying to fulfill our needs, we had the 8 course brunch menu, with the 8 course wine for me since my mom doesn’t drink, they gave us champagne as soon as we got there, I have never had such a fancy meal, I ignored the fact that every single meal had a different glass of wine that comes with it, I was full, tipsy and tired of eating after 2 hours of brunch, as a self-proclaimed foodie i could never imagine ever saying that, but i was but still i would do it again because it was worth it.
The desserts we so good, there was 3 options on the menu, we choose two of them but they end up offering us the 3 one, that was so sweet of them, so we got to try all of the desserts :)
Momy posing with the what i call thinking statues :)
Overall the food was good, I wouldn’t say amazing, it was very good, some better than others, the desserts were very yummy, and the wines were splendid.
Should you try it? Why not. Having brunch on a temple with people that you love in a Chinese courtyard, a 8 course meal is certainly and experience, even if is not your thing, I think its good to try if you love food like me, and even if its not the cheapest option out there, for the quality and for what you get,its definitely very affordable comparing with the world standards.
