Ryokan Takemine was one of the highlights of our trip to Tokyo, the day before we left to Kyoto we booked a night in Ryokan takemine, we wanted to have a more traditional experience, so experiencing a Japanese style Guest house seemed for us the right thing to do, after some research we decided to choose Ryokan Takemine.
And we weren’t disappointed, It wasn’t the cheapest option but for Tokyo it wasn’t bad either, considering everything that it was included on the price, we had Jacuzzi in our bedroom, half board included the typical traditional kaiseki (traditional, multi-course dinner) two very good meals, massage chair, minibar and a balcony, the whole room was 4 times bigger than the hotel we were staying in Asakusa for three nights.
As we arrived in Ryokan Takemine, the staff was extremely lovely with us, the neighbourhood was so quaint and cozy, we felt like the only ones at the Ryokan, they greeted us with some tea and mochi balls, it was a little far from the subway station to the Ryokan but you can still find it easily if you manage to get a pocket wifi.
Ryokan Takemine was truly a little nest of paradise in the bustling city of Tokyo, if you are seeking for an authentic, relaxing Japanese experience i totally recommend.
